Nurturing Faith in Children

At Christ Lutheran, there are many ways for families with children to get plugged in.  From weekly Sunday School, to special events like or Epiphany Celebration, fellowship opportunities and Vacation Bible School...  there is something for everyone.

ministries
Nursery offers Christ Lutheran's youngest congregants a warm & nurturing place to play while parents enjoy worship.  A supervised nursery is always offered during our 10:45 service and is available for during Sunday School as needed. The nursery is open to babies through preschoolers.  Kids in Kindergarten and up have worship opportunities like Children's Church and Acolyting.

Children’s Church is a special service just for kids in Kindergarten – 3rd grade that takes place during a portion of the10:45 service.

The hope of Children's Church is to offer the younger members of our church family an opportunity to worship God with joy, to encourage active participation, to teach about the Love of Jesus and about our Liturgy.

Children too young for Children’s Church are welcome in the supervised nursery while children too old for Church are invited to worship alongside their parents and serve as acolytes. Visit our worship page to learn more about becoming an Acolyte.

Animated videos of the Bible stories don’t use narration. Instead, visuals and sound effects give kids the opportunity to retell the story in their own words.  After class, Holy Moly kids walk away retelling the stories they’ve learned and take home completed activities to share with their family.
Music Workshops for school age children provide an opportunity for young people to express their faith and worship God through music and art. Music workshops are held after 10:45 worship from 12-1:30 with lunch included.  Adult supervision is provided so parents can drop off their children.

Every Sunday you'll hear lots of fun and laughter coming from the Children's Sunday School
room as they are learning the Bible and building a strong foundation for growing in faith.

Every Holy Moly lesson follows a four-part sequence: Discover, Relate, Connect, and Create. Each week, kids watch an animated Bible story video, talk about the story, read their Bible Storybook or Bible, and try a creative activity.
